So yea, people have been asking me what was my plans for VD and blah blah blah...
Blogspot, livejournals & xangas and friendsters are all filled with valentine's day wishes/pictures and details. So here is mine....
On Monday ( 11 Feb), Danie got to know that he had to go sailing on the 14th feb. which means tat he had to report to tuas base at 2300hrs. Valentine's gone. We wanted to meet before for dinner on the eve before he left.
On Tuesday (12 Feb), he got to know that he was sailing with another ship at a earlier time slot which is 2000hrs. So dinner plan ruined. Thus, i told him never mind. work finishes at 4:30 pm. i'll meet u for 2hrs or so and we can have a quick dinner.
On Wednesday ( 13 Feb, Valentine's eve), he got to know that he was activated for duty despite the fact that he had sailing on tat day. everyone else who had the sailing could leave work earlier and report back at 1900hrs but him. he had to stay there and do the whatever-shift until they sailed off.
On Thursday (14 Feb), he was at south china sea.
On Friday (15 Feb), Cynthia and i planned for a mini-valentine's celebration with the guys. we were suppose to go for dinner at breeks which is located at causeway. But guess what happen?? At 1045am, he called and said the guy who was suppose to do his duty on that day was on MC. therefore, he has to do it!!! I broke down. wat else to do? Cyn and i ordered cake and placed reservations already. i was blur and cyn tried to suggest ways to get danie out of base but to no avail. At abt 4 ++ pm, danie msged me. He said other ships were coming back and he can leave the place. i thought God was great. we were suppose to me Greg and Cyn at 7plus at woodlands and go for dinner. But guess what happen???
Danie msged saying that he will be late. Greg and Cyn said they din wan to go without Danie to breeks. so we hang out at Mac for til 9plus. then headed to banquet for dinner. we waited til 10plus when danie called. he said he was then onli leaving the place. we waited till 11pm. Danie arrived and we left for Mac with hope that they were 24hrs open. but guess what it only opened til midnight. atleast it was sth. so then danie ate, we cut cake, talked and left. that was my VD celebration.
Moral of the story: Dun have expectations for any occasion if ur partner or family are in the SAF. they can just spoil moments in a snap!!!
